VIENNESE OPERA BALL

The Viennese Opera Ball, a white tie charity gala and one of the most elegant annual events in New York City, will take place on Friday, February 21st, 2014 at the Waldorf~Astoria Hotel in New York.
Every year it draws an international audience that includes Diplomats, Dignitaries and Debutantes.

Long considered the most prestigious Viennese Opera Ball outside of Vienna, the Ball is a nonprofit association held annually under the auspices of the US Austrian Chamber of Commerce to benefit other worthy nonprofit institutions. The beneficiary of the 2014 Viennese Opera Ball is Carnegie Hall, which has a rich history of more than 120 years of concerts featuring Viennese artists and works by Viennese composers, and will serve as the first cultural venue in Carnegie Hall’s 2014 “Vienna Festival: City of Dreams.”

The Viennese Opera Ball features Peter Duchin and his Orchestra for ballroom dancing, opera singers from the Met, West Point Cadets, Midnight Quadrille, horse and carriage, and so much more. The post-Ball party, the “Tanz Bar” runs from 1:00 to 4:00a.m. and includes a buffet supper, with its Signature Goulash Soup, as well as multiple venues: Jazz Band, Dance Band, DJ, Vienna Coffee House and a special performance of the Mortantscher Schuhplattlers.

This is an evening not to be missed!
